We always think it only happens to others. Be protected and enjoy peace of mind knowing you’ll have the funds to cover your everyday expenses in the event of an accident or a serious illness diagnosis.

What is critical illness insurance?

This coverage provides you with a lump-sum payment if you are diagnosed with a critical illness such as cancer, a heart attack, or a stroke. This amount can be used however you see fit: to cover treatments not covered by your health insurance, to offset a loss of income while you focus on your recovery, or even to make necessary modifications to your home if needed.

What is injury insurance?

This coverage provides you with a lump-sum or monthly benefit following an accidental injury, such as a fracture or the loss of use of a limb.

Lump-sum payment

Critical illness insurance pays you a tax-free lump-sum amount if you are diagnosed with one of the covered illnesses.

Access to specialists

You may have access to health specialists and experts for you and your family during your recovery.

Did you know...?

1 in 3 Canadians will be diagnosed with a critical illness during their lifetime, which is why having protection in case of the unexpected is so important.

Did you know...?

The return of premium rider with critical illness insurance is an optional add-on that allows you to recover part or all of the premiums paid if no claim for a critical illness is made over a specified period. It’s a way to obtain a return on investment if you never need to use the insurance.

Disability insurance or injury insurance?

Disability insurance allows you to receive monthly income replacement benefits so you can maintain your standard of living during your period of disability. It does not cover additional expenses resulting from the accident, such as rehabilitation costs, home care, and similar expenses.
